The study "Chinese and German city policies" analyses the low carbon activities of the four cities, Bonn, Duisburg and their Chinese partner city Chengdu and Wuhan. The resulting assessments are used to develop policy recommendations for the respective cities, highlighting best practice and lessons to be learnt from the other cities. In the evaluation process the efficiency and direction of the strategies are considered. On October 22th/23th 2013, the City of Chengdu hosted the second forum of the Bonn-Chengdu partnership for low-carbon development in Chengdu.
